A refurbished electron beam welder control panel. This panel has had a new, printed overlay applied as well as upgrades to the beam current meter, weld timer and beam deflection controls. This control panel is typically used for manual, non-computerized control of the weld parameters. Newer versions have stored programs and computer control.

Electron Beam Engineering developed a high voltage feed thru which greatly improves heat dissipation. By maintaining a lower operating temperature, the insulating oil is less likely to leak due to increases in pressure. Very effective when the electron gun is operated at consistently high power.

Redesigned slide valve for the older Wentgate electron guns which were originally fitted with either a pneumatic ball valve or a slide valve. This new design has a positive stop which means that it is self-aligning. The previous models would gradually move out of alignment and cause the beam to collide with the valve sealing surface – resulting in a vacuum leak.

Bellows-sealed slide valve actuator which works with the redesigned valve (above). Features include long life and no need to replace o-rings.

These aluminum rails replace the plastic circuit board guides as found on the early Wentgate electron beam welders. The old plastic ones became brittle and broke. These will not break or require repair and are anodized for long life.
